How Donations Help:

The Youth Sports Concussion Awareness Program is offered by the Peterborough Family Health Team, a not-for-profit organization that serves the City and County of Peterborough. Your generous donations allow us to distribute up-to-date educational materials on concussions to the primary health care providers and local coaches.

How to Donate:

Our organization works in partnership with the Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation. Donations are received through their Canada Help Charity Profile. In order to donate please click the button below and you will be directed to the Foundation’s profile. Upon clicking donate now, you will be able to select the Youth Sports Concussion Awareness Program as your donation destination.

    Historically reported that 300,000 sport related concussions occur annually in the United States. This is now considered a gross underestimation as original estimates included only if Loss of Consciousness. Epidemiology difficult due to underreporting, but current estimates reach 3.8 million annually for recreation and sport related concussion in United States.
