WE FUND INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS & LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT THE GOOD WORK OF THE PETERBOROUGH FAMILY HEALTH TEAM

The Health Services Foundation supports the efforts of the Peterborough Family Health Team throughout the City and County of Peterborough. We are in touch with what our team requires to provide patients with the highest quality health care possible. We work passionately to fund vital, innovative programs like the Youth Sports Concussion Awareness Program.

Continuing to provide the most up-to-date information on the assessment, treatment and management of concussions, the Youth Sports Concussion Awareness Program has produced an introductory video and educational videos for athletic trainers and educational staff.

Appropriate for athletes of all ages involved in any sport, the athletic trainer video features Brian Miller, trainer for the Peterborough Petes, who explains that trainers must be equipped with the knowledge and the confidence to deal with a trauma, because above all else, a player’s health comes first.

Your support and generosity helps the Health Services Foundation continue to fund life-saving equipment, educational training for health care providers and prevention-based programs impacting patients suffering from a number of illnesses from diabetes to mental health.
